What is Hypnotherapy?

It is an alternative and complementary treatment for a wide range of issues such as anxiety, insomnia, addiction, and chronic pain.

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention.  We reach this state naturally throughout our lives. For instance, when we are fully absorbed in a book, engrossed by an inspiring speech, feeling a deep connection with nature or during meditation. Hypnosis is a heightened state of consciousness.

There are three aspects of the mind:

  • – the superconscious mind: the seat of intuition, wisdom, collective consciousness, creativity and spirituality
  • – the conscious mind: analytical and reasoning
  • – the subconscious mind: the seat of emotions, memories, automatic bodily responses and dreams.

Hypnotherapy allows us to bypass our conscious analytical mind as we connect at a deeper level with our subconscious and superconscious mind. As we enter deep relaxation and awareness, we feel everything more vividly. Our conscious mind is observing from a distance, as it is offered a time to let go, resulting in a peaceful feeling.  Our mind then becomes more aware and open to positive suggestions. Because these suggestions are sent directly to the center of our emotions (the subconscious mind), they are fully integrated into the whole body and mind.

Once a negative belief or pattern is effectively replaced by a successful and positive one, there is absolutely no reason for the mind to go back to the old pattern.

Through Hypnotherapy we are reprogramming our minds for a long lasting and positive effect.
