Hypnosis is a very natural state of mind that we reach often without knowing it: being fully absorbed in a book, being completely engrossed by the words of an inspirational personality, or feeling utterly connected to the nature around. Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness.
There are three aspects of the mind:
- – the superconscious mind: seat of the intuition, wisdom, collective consciousness, creativity, spirituality
- – the conscious mind: analytical and reasoning functions
- – the subconscious mind: seat of the emotions, feelings, automatic bodily responses, dreams.
Hypnotherapy allows us to “put on the side” our conscious mind for a moment as we deeply connect with our subconscious and superconscious mind. As we relax deeply, we feel everything vividly. We enter into a deep awareness. Our conscious mind is just observing from a distance, as it is offered a time to rest and let go. A very peaceful feeling results from this state. Therefore, our mind becomes more aware and open to positive suggestions. And because these suggestions are sent directly to the center of our emotions (subconscious mind), they are fully integrated into the whole body and the superconscious mind.
Hypnotherapy is about reprogramming our minds for a long lasting effect. When a negative belief or pattern is effectively replaced by a successful and positive programming, there is absolutely no reason for the mind to go back to the old pattern. It is a very powerful tool.
